Storage
- Ripeness: Mettavalasa Peechu mangoes are usually harvested when they are mature but still firm. If you order in high quantity you will get some mangoes that are not fully ripe for Storage Reasons, you can ripen them at room temperature in a paper bag. Check them regularly and transfer them to the refrigerator once they are ripe.
- Room Temperature: Ripe Mettavalasa Peechu mangoes can be stored at room temperature for a few days. Keep them in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
- Refrigeration: To prolong the shelf life of ripe mangoes, store them in the refrigerator. Place them in the crisper drawer, ideally wrapped in a paper towel to absorb excess moisture.
- Avoid Moisture: Keep Mettavalasa Peechu mangoes away from moisture, as excess moisture can cause them to spoil more quickly. Ensure they are not stored near other fruits or vegetables that release ethylene gas, which can accelerate ripening.
